Meet the editor: Sam Reeves

Sam Reeves has been the Editor of The Legionette since October 2022.

Reeves graduated from The University of Missouri, Columbia in May of 2023 with a bachelor's degree of Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications. She has been a member of Unit 5 in Jefferson City, MO for nine years. Reeves joined the ALA as a junior in 2014 and began attending Conventions and Conferences with her mother. She has been active on a department level since becoming a senior member in 2019. She became Public Relations Chairman in 2021 and has focused on the benefits of social media for public relations and membership.

Reeves took over as editor of The Legionette in October of 2022 after the passing of former Legionette Editor, Virginia Schnurbusch. She has big shoes to fill but is looking forward to continuing this great publication.
