National Security Chairman Louise Welch provides an update

The American Legion Auxiliary National Program proudly extends its support not only to veterans, but also to active-duty military members and their families. Units can engage in meaningful ways, such as organizing childcare events, providing a listening ear during deployments, or hosting send-off and welcome home celebrations.

Auxiliary members can be trained to assist in emergency response efforts during natural disasters like floods, tornadoes, and winter storms. Units can also contribute to their communities by sponsoring blood drives or supporting homeless veterans. Commemorate National POW/MIA Recognition Day in your community.
