Unit 34 Spreads holiday cheer to local veterans

UNIONVILLE, Mo. – Members of District 2, Unit 34 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Unionville brought Christmas cheer to local veterans this holiday season, delivering gift baskets overflowing with goodies to residents at the Putnam County Care Center and Bristol Manor.


Armed with festive treats and heartfelt sentiments, Jennifer Roberts, Polean Knight, Alaina Roberts, Margaret Quigley, Mindy Clark, Jan Clark, Lola Williams, Mildred Rhoades, Beverly Staggs, Judy Smith, Vickie Stewart, and Janet Schmidt spread holiday cheer to grateful veterans residing in the two facilities.


The smiles and heartfelt thanks received by the Auxiliary members were ample reward for their efforts. The veterans' genuine appreciation for the thoughtful gesture highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a sense of community and ensuring no veteran feels forgotten during the holiday season.
